There are just weeks to go until all eyes are on the historic courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for the Wimbledon Championships – but there’s more to see than just the tennis…

This year, you can keep an eye out to see products from the Blanc de Bierges range in use throughout the grounds. As a world-famous venue, Wimbledon often makes improvements to the landscaping to ensure it always looks top-notch not just during the Championships, but all year round. In order to achieve this, they turned to us to supply the paving around some new outdoor courts and the Tea Lawn. These are in addition to the range of paving we have already supplied, so we have really put our mark on the grounds!

During the fortnight, you can spot our paving slabs, paving setts and other landscaping products around iconic parts of the club such as Murray Mount and the Number One court. Our creamy buff coloured slabs and paving help to give the grounds the stylish, manicured and quintessentially British look for which it is known.

Contractors Galliford Try commissioned the work, and were more than happy with the results: “We selected Blanc de Bierges for this project mainly for continuity, as we had used them before on other parts of the redevelopment,” said Mike Bridges, Project Director. “We are always extremely pleased with the quality, look and feel of the paving supplied by Blanc de Bierges, a venue of this size and history needs top quality products. Blanc de Bierges has many standard moulds; they worked with us to ensure continuity and were able to produce specific product sizes through bespoke moulds, cost effectively.”

So while you get ready for Murray mayhem, prepare the strawberries and cream and enjoy a tall glass of Pimm’s, make sure to look out for the stonework around the grounds and enjoy products on show from the Blanc de Bierges range!
